The International Air Transport Association (IATA) awarded the certificate of IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) to the Syrian Arab Airlines.
This certificate is usually given to Airline's companies which apply the safety standards on their Aircrafts.
This Association undertakes the checkup procedures of the safety readiness for all International Airline's companies, according to specific and accurate standards; this certificate is renewed every two years after a periodical check.
It is notable that two years ago, Syrian Arab Airlines has obtained the IOSA certificate for the first time in 9/11/2007.

In an interview on this occasion with Ms. Ghaida Abdullatif, the Managing Director of Syrian Arab Airlines, she said: "This certificate is a great honor for the establishment's employees who are working hard day and night and are doing a great effort, despite the difficult circumstances experienced by the establishment, to keep up the Establishment Motto :( Security and Safety).
