On the occasion of renting the Jordanian charter that had been signed some time ago Mrs. Ghaida Abdullatif the Managing Director of Syrian Arab Airline said :( After its entrance from thee European sky, specifically from London, The Jordanian Charter began its work in the Arabian sky Started mid last month and now working on the lines of Arab Gulf States, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Doha). The Jordanian Charter type Airbus320 is rented to support the Establishment's fleet, and to be operated in various directions for Syrian Airline, according to the establishment's interests. Mrs. Abdullatif referred to the Charter preparation for delivery to be made within a week from the date of signature, and then put the plane into operation with noting that the plane was completed all required agreements and fully equipped, stressing that, according to priorities of its agenda, the Syrian Air has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Airbus Company to purchase 14 Aircrafts of various types to secure the fleet to cover all the permanent stations, and the stations that the Establishment will open later after securing the new contracted Aircrafts. The Syrian Air had previously announced plans for direct talks with American Boeing Company after the end of the economic feasibility study by the Establishment's interested persons, in order to reconstruct the two Boeing Aircrafts 747 which are out of operation now.
